Unlike Havana cigars, Cohiba’s filler leaves undergo an additional fermentation process in oak barrels. This unique process gives Cohiba its distinctive aroma and flavor. This is the first new product in the La Linea 1492 series since Siglo VI in 2002, and its size is inspired by the shortest and widest cigar in the Linea series. “Medio Siglo,” launched to celebrate Cohiba’s 50th anniversary, means “half a century.”
