Handcrafted by Tabacalera Alfambra of Nicaragua, this cigar is produced in their own factory in Esteli, with plantations in both Esteli and Condega. The tobacco used is of exceptionally high quality, and the entire process, from plantation to cigar making, is carefully controlled. The Colombian cigar leaf has a slightly acidic flavor that helps the flavors blend. The binder is a rare find, made with a Dominican Negrito leaf, popular fifty or sixty years ago. This leaf is difficult to grow, has a relatively low yield, and is not commonly used. The cold draw is perfect, with a rich earthy character. Once lit, the cigar releases aromas of coffee, earth, sweetness, and herbal spices. The flavors then shift to earth, leather, chocolate, pepper, and spices.
